I have a Master's Degree in Art Therapy (2002) and a Master's Degree in Sociology (1992), both from Illinois State University. My collegiate portfolio also includes a specialty in human sexuality, gender roles and interpersonal relationships.  I have combined my love of art, sociology, and psychology into a multifaceted career.

I am an Registered, and Board Certified, Art Therapist (ATR-BC), currently in private practice at Mindock Counseling and Consulting in Peoria, IL.  In the past, I have also provided art therapy services at the Children's Home of Peoria, Community Workshop and Training Center, and VSA Arts.  In addition, I am a Certified Hypnotherapist (C.Ht.), receiving my diploma from HMI, a nationally accredited school of Hypnotherapy, in 2017.

For fifteen years, I also worked as the art teacher for the Montessori School of Peoria.  I currently teach art classes at Anew School, where I very much enjoy inspiring and encouraging children to embrace a lifetime of creativity.

In my spare time, I am also a fine art painter, and teach art classes in my home studio.
